I’m Myka—an artist, writer, and experiential designer from Worcester, MA. I currently reside in Brooklyn. My primary formats are music and video, but I cycle through other things depending on the project.
This website exists because I needed a place to house all the things I create outside of my career path, so I figured it best to talk about those things here a little bit instead.
I treat each thing I produce as if it’s a living creature, as if it has its own intentions, and that I’m more a facilitator—teasing out what its true nature is—than a creator who dictates and draws down the boundaries of a thing. I wake up every day with a chance to discover what a project really wants to be, and I just get to be a proud parent—even if I don’t always fully understand them.
TLDR:
Most of my personal work tends to be about change, both in the macro and micro. I try my best to be human-centric; my work is pro-social, and I hope whatever I do can bring people closer.
